No intention of hiring Ric Flair, according to WWE attorneys
WWE attorneys told a Nashville judge that the company has not tried to hire Ric Flair "and has no intention of doing so." The claim was made during a hearing regarding the lawsuit that TNA has filed against WWE and former employee Brian Wittenstein. Powell's POV: That's an interesting development considering that it was widely assumed that Flair was headed back to WWE once he is contractually able to do so. Perhaps he still will return, but it's highly unlikely that WWE will bring him back while this legal battle is playing out. At this point, it appears Flair is stuck in limbo.

WWE may currently say 'we don't need him', but they know full and well that having Flair on the roster, is huge nonetheless. I ain't a Nature Boy fan, but I do know that the guy is drawing money (maybe not like the 80s/90s, but he still draws enough money.). And WWE will be first to grab him, if his contract with TNA ends. Probably sign him into a 'Legends' contract (like Nash and Foley).
